IMPORTANT INFORMATION & CALENDAR KEY:
-
OUR HOG RIDES & EVENTS ARE IN UPPERCASE LETTERS.
Road Captains, where possible, are listed with each ride. If
there is no Road Captain, a suggested route will be in the HOG
box by the dealership front door.
-
Meetings are in lower case letters.
-
Rides in italics are listed "FYI", (for your
information) only. We've listed web sites for more
information. Check with your fellow HOG members about sharing
hotels, riding together, etc. Be sure to book early!
-
Bridgeport Harley-Davidson
dealership events are underlined and preceded by a > symbol, and
in italics.
-
Rides leave PROMPTLY at the time designated.
Please plan to arrive early to sign in.
-
The letters TBA mean that time or other details
are, "To Be Announced."
-
**Registration Deadlines** are enclosed by
asterisks.
-
(helmets) means helmets are required for
out-of-state rides. PLEASE be sure to check whether you and/or
your passenger need a helmet. (For example, Rhode Island
requires helmets for passengers only.) On most rides we'll stop
at the border to put them on. If you don't have a helmet, we'll
have to leave you there!
-
(Bonus Points) are listed in parenthesis after
appropriate rides. These are Rider Rewards bonus points awarded
by Bridgeport Harley-Davidson in recognition of your HOG
participation. Rider Rewards is included in your Bridgeport HOG
membership. All Bridgeport Harley customers can sign-up for the
Rider Rewards cash back program. For more information about
Rider Rewards visit the
dealership web site.
-
This is a family-oriented riding group.
-
Absolutely no alcoholic beverages while on a
club run: any kind, any time, anyone.
-
National HOG Activity Designation is in [Bold
Face Brackets] right after the date. Please be aware of the
applicable restrictions BEFORE you come to a ride. We hate to
turn anyone away, but we must enforce these national guidelines
for affiliation and liability reasons.
-
[C] Closed events are events open to
Bridgeport HOG Chapter members and one guest per member.
-
[M] Member events are events open to
HOG members only.
-
[O] Open events are events open to HOG
members and other guests as desired.
-
NOTE: every member bringing a guest is
responsible for having that guest sign a waiver. Even members
of National HOG and other local HOG Chapters, must sign our
waiver if they are NOT Bridgeport Chapter members. Waivers are
available in the HOG box by the front door of Bridgeport
Harley-Davidson.
-
Please arrive for every ride with a FULL tank
and an EMPTY bladder.
Rider Rewards
Points: RIDER REWARDS POINTS are awarded by our Sponsor and
begin with the Putt to Putnam Park and end with the Fall Foliage
Ride. Not all rides or events are eligible.
Road Captains are awarded extra bonus
points.
Poker Run:
each year we sponsor an annual Poker Run
to raise money for our adopted charity:
The
Connecticut Burns Care Foundation. Thanks to our sponsors and
generous riders we were able to raise more than $3,000 in 2006.
Follow the links for more information.
Polar Bears:
NOT
a HOG sanctioned ride, but several of our members enjoy these
winter rides. This is an AMA Grand Tour. All are welcome. We meet at the Dunkin' Donuts
nearest Bridgeport Harley-Davidson. You can read Chris' Polar Bear
story in our Stories section. He also
started a Polar Bear Blog at his company website:
